Lodging Options

When planning your travel, please keep this in mind - If you prefer to pay for convenience, book your travel through a vacation package (Marriott Vacations, Expedia Travel, i.e.) or travel agency. However, with travel to Puerto Rico (like with the US), it is most cost effective to book your travel (flights, hotel/lodging, and cars) separately. Before booking any travel accommodations, please read the details below:

Location:

There are 3 main towns that you will want to center yourself in within San Juan, and they are all within 5-15 minutes apart from each other. Our wedding will be in Old San Juan, PR, but we recommend that you stay in San Juan, near one of the following locations:

Ocean Park

- 12 min from the Wedding Venue

- 10 min from the airport SJU

Condado Beach

- 10-15 minutes from the Wedding Venue

- 10-15 minutes from the airport SJU

Carolina / Isla Verde Beach

- 15-20 minutes from the Wedding Venue

- Where most of the wedding party will be staying, either in Airbnbs or in hotels.

- 5 minutes from the airport SJU

**Any other town, like Loiza, Dorado, or Bayamon is a bit further out (20-30 minutes), and will require you to rent a car or budget use of longer distance Ubers to get to the wedding activities.

Suggestions

- If you are traveling in a group, it is recommended that you look into Airbnb or Vrbo options, as you will save money not having to pay a per room nightly price

-If you are traveling as a couple or individual, it is recommended that you stay in a hotel. The cheapest rates are found in either a group booking rate*, or by reserving your room through Expedia or Priceline.

*We are booking a group room block at the Embassy Suites in Carolina, but we need to know how many people are interested in booking through a hotel. If you are interested in booking a hotel and would like more information on a group rate, please fill out this form.

For large groups and/or guests looking to keep costs low while still enjoying a great stay, we recommend checking out vacation rental platforms like Airbnb and Vrbo. These platforms offer a wide range of lodging options—from budget friendly private rooms to luxury villas—perfect for solo travelers, couples, or groups.

Staying in a vacation rental can help stretch your travel dollars further with access to a kitchen and extra space to relax. Many rentals are also conveniently located near local attractions, beaches, and restaurants—so you can enjoy more of San Juan without breaking the bank. Here are some booking tips:

- Try to book a rental in either Catolina/Isla Verde, Condado, or Ocean Park. These options are all still 15-20 minutes from the wedding venue, and 5-15 minutes from the airport. Aside from the wedding, most activities will be in Isla Verde, which is closest to the airport and furthest (20 minutes) from the wedding venue.

- Avoid staying in Old San Juan - parking is very limited and this has become the touristy area, so prices are more inflated.
